The bucket-wheel excavator operates in stationary mode, employing coordinated movement between its front-mounted bucket wheel and boom rotation to slice and gather material. As the buckets ascend during rotation, captured material automatically discharges onto the intake conveyor via gravity, funneling through a hopper to the discharge conveyor for transport. Following each excavation layer, the machine advances linearly or adjusts boom height to target subsequent vertical layers. Layer thickness correlates with boom extension range, while excavation width is determined by rotational speed. Machine mobility serves a supplementary role to its core continuous excavation and conveyor-driven material handling operations.
